New Media Literacies, Phase 2
In New Media Literacies Phase 2, we were founded by the Macarthur Foundation. We had three broad goals:
1. Prototyping and testing curricular materials and activities, to help refine our pedagogical models.
2. Disseminating our ideas through publications, conference presentations, online communities, parents' resources, and teacher training programs.
3. Developing a new media franchise for children designed to consciously embody and promote media literacy skills.
Our Phase 2 projects ended up developing into the Learning Library, the Ethics Casebook and the Teacher Strategy Guides.
